DIY tshirt makeover

So this is a complete 180, it went from plain ol' white t-shirt to a cute little going out tank top :) So I started off with a plain white t-shirt, Hanes as you can tell..then I went into my closet and found a tank top I liked and traced it onto the t-shirt with chalk..after tracing it I took out my scissors and cut using the chalk lines as a guide and ended up with a tank top..and then here are step by step pics of what I did..

Okay I apologize because as you can tell, you can't really see the lines, but I used a fabric marking chalk to draw out random little shapes on the shirt..

You're gonna need a sheer/ see through material.

After I drew out the random shapes, I cut them out.

Once your little shapes are cut out, cut a piece of your sheer material big enough to cover the entire cut out section.

And then using nothing more than a simple stitch, stitch the see through material to the holes, and once done, cut off excess sheer material. (also, you will do the stitching on the inside of the shirt, not on the outside, that way you can't see all that messiness)

Here you can see how it looks once I'd done a few..

And voila!! Here is the end result!! :) cute isn't it?
 Side view..

Loved how this one turned out :) now I can't wait to wear it out.
What a great way to makeover a plain ol' t-shirt, isn't it? :)

From tee to tank..

So I went out and bought a few plain tees at Michaels the other day since they were only 5 for $10 :) so how could I not? Any who so I have a fee tshirt make over ideas..but so far I've only made one. I turned a plain tee into a tank top, super easy, I also painted it but thats something else..and I also made some bracelets :)

This one is just a chain with colorful thread weaved in and out through the chains.

This one is my new favorite bracelet!!
Its suede cord in red and a cream color.

And a few more pictures of it. I just love it!!

And here is the new tank..super super easy to make..you just take any t shirt, scissors, needle & thread. oh and something to mark it with (like chalk)..all you have to do is draw the new neckline and sleeves and you can just trace a tank top you already have!! the its snip snip snip and you have yourself a tank top..and idk if you can really see but I added a little cuff at the back to gather it a bit more. You can just cut a little strip of fabric off of the sleeves you cut off and then tie it around the back for that gathering effect..but make sure the side where you tied it goes in the inside of the shirt..I did a little simple design on this one for the bf's band <3 its just fabric paint.

Beads and Braids :)

So today was all about jewelry, I went to Joann & Michaels today to pick up some jewelry making essentials. Beads, chains, clasps, all that sort of stuff. And I ended up making a ring and a few bracelets :) I don't know what I did with one of the bracelets though :/ I can't seem to find it. but I do have pics of the ring and the other bracelet.

Here's the bracelet, nothing more than a simple 4 string braid made out of different colored suede cords.

And the ring <3 I absolutely la la love it!!
Its just a bunch of tini-tiny beads alternating between two colors (blue & red)
It totally goes with how I'm redoing my room haha!

And here is a picture of the two together <3

Closet Makeover

So I finally started working on my closet :) I ended up buying two small red kitchen rugs to put under my shoe racks because I didn't like they way it looked, and the red rugs make it look a whole lot better :) I also got a hanging bar the other day and installed it today in order to create more hanging space for my clothes because its beginning to get a tad bit too crowded in there..I ended up putting all my jeans and skirts on the hanging bar since they were the only clothes I could put on there that weren't too long and therefore don't reach the floor. (I had to fold my jeans twice though before putting them on the hangers so they wouldn't hit the floor though) I wanted to put shirts on there but they're too long and drag down onto the floor :/
The before..w/o the rugs

The after :) with the rugs.

And here you can see where I added the hanging bar. So now my closet doesn't have to be so crowded and I can actually put stuff in and take stuff out without struggling :)

Well aside from putting things into my closet I actually started with my closet doors makeover :) I'm super excited!!! :) but I can't post pictures until its done. Maybe just a before, but thats about it.

See how plain they are, just plain white, so I'm giving them a makeover :)
But you can bet that I'll be posting pictures once I'm done with them! <3

New bling :)

Who doesn't love jewelry right?? Its the best, and you can never have enough!! And I love how it doesn't even have to be expensive to be cute. Most of the stuff I own I get at forever21 (best store ever!!!!).. Here are a few things I got recently. The two rings I got at F21 as I like to call it. A cute and simple little heart ring and then a big sparkly one..I <3 it! I'm one for things that sparkle, so anything that is bedazzled with glitter, sparkles or sequins I adore! And I got some bracelets at Target today as welll :) they're all colorful, which I absolutely adore <3
Here is the heart one, I adore its simplicity <3

And here is the sparkly one!!! I told you guys my curtains give my room a super pretty red lighting :)
Here is a much better picture of the two together with better lighting, no redness in this one.
Here's all three bracelets. the furthest to the left is rainbow :) <3 it!! and the one in the middle has all sorts of colors and little patterns :) too bad it fits a little bit big :/ but I'll find a way to fix it!! And then the one on the right hand side is yellow, red and pinkish. And I like how it has little beads on the other side where the clasp is at..So remember, you don't have to go all out and spend tons of money on jewelry for it to be cute. (I never do!) I'm not hating on expensive stuff though, don't get me wrong, its just not for me, brand names and all that have never been my thing at all. Pretty much most of my closet is all forever21, thats been my store ever since like middle school. But hey to each his own, you can shop wherever you like :)

New Project..

I've decided to take on a BIG (well not that big but kinda big) project.. My closet!! It is in desperate need of a makeover. So I decided that it is now my new project, I've already started to slowly re-do my room, so my closet is the next step in that overall project. I've already kinda started on the closet though, I bought two small rugs to put on the floor under my shoe racks the other day. They're red :) which I'm excited about since I decided that I'm redoing my room in teals/aquas/whites/and reds :) The combination is to die for!!! <3 I also started incorporating the red into my room little by little not that long ago (the teal/aqua is already all over the place since those are the colors of my walls and my bed sheets as well). I made myself a pair of red curtains with and off white/cream colored lace overlay.. I also bought some clear vases and spray painted them red :) Did I mention that I absolutely love my new red curtains because they give my room a pretty red hue & lighting during the day as the sunlight shines through them :) I will be posting some pictures soon, and of the closet as it slowly transforms from a "pumpkin into a pretty carriage" haha..how cheesy!! :) but anyway here are a few pictures from which I was inspired to do the whole teals/aquas & reds for my room...I told you it was an amazing combo!!! Shame on you if you doubted me!! haha ;)

First post!! I did it! (:

Hello there :)
Well first off, thank you so much for visiting and showing your support!! I've been meaning to start my own little blog for the longest time now, but being the huge procrastinator that I am, I am barely getting around to it. But better late than never right?? :) But let me warn you right from the very start, I'm new at this and by no means a pro at any of it so please bare with me! Also, if you're looking for a baking only, or a crafts only, or a sewing only type of thing then you've come to the WRONG place unfortunately :/ This blog will be ALL over the place as far as crafting goes, I love baking, I love sewing, I love jewelry making, I just love making things, anything from shirts, to headbands, to picture frames, to pretty much anything my crazy little mind will come up with. Or anything I stumble across and like.. Why buy something, when you can just make it instead? Its a whole lot more fun that way, trust me :) So yes, this will be all over the place and not really focused on one thing in particular. But if you're interested in any of what you've just read, then stick around :) Any who, I'm really excited :) because I finally did it!!! so thank you times a million to all of you who have always supported my crafting and who have encouraged me to start my blog, it means more than you can imagine <3
