Cute cupcake/cake stand tutorial!!

Woo-hoo!! So I've been meaning to make myself one of these for quite a long time now but hadn't found the right plates until recently! (: It's cute, its fun and most importantly its inexpensive!! I saw one at target for like $19.99 while I was there getting the plates..funny how I was there looking for cute plates to make my own cupcake stand and their almost $20 cupcake stand was sitting right next to the plates I ended up picking out haha!! I found that totally hilarious, but you might not, and thats alright with me :) any who here are some step by step pictures..

First things first: materials.. 2 cute plates of varying sizes (I used plastic in case of accidents).. candle holder, E-6000 glue
But note that you could always do 3 plates, the top one being a small little plate and you would just need an extra candle holder.

Step 1: dab a small amount of the E-6000 on the bottom of the candle holder and stick it on!!

But make sure its centered!! this is important unless you want it tipping over or looking weird.

Step 2: stack a couple of heavy books on top and let it dry for a few hours, or even overnight.

Step 3: repeat steps 1&2..dab some glue onto the top of the candle holder and stick it on to the bottom of the top plate (making sure it is centered) and then stack some books on top and let it dry for a few hours.

And voila!! you've got yourself a super cute and inexpensive cupcake holder :)
And I do mean inexpensive, under $10
The bigger plate was $1.99 and the smaller one $1.59 and the glue I already had but its only a couple of $'s at your local craft store, I purchased mine at Joann.. and then the candle stick was around $2 I believe  and I purchased it from Michaels

More pictures of the finished product :)

oh and word of advice: do the gluing in a well ventilated area, preferably outside because this E-6000 stuff has a strong strong odor!! And it says on the back that it can cause cancer if inhaled and what not or something like that, so please please please do this outside. And if you're not comfortable using it due to the health risks then simply use your favorite type of glue so long as it is permanent and works on plastics...hope you guys enjoyed the tutorial, oh and one more thing, this is NOT an original idea, I've seen it done many times before, I simply googled it a long long time ago since I wanted to make my own stand.. PS. shout out to my BFFF!  Miss Alexa Chung (not her real last name of course!) thanks for being a supporter of the blog !! :)
